Mister Valencia celebrates the 10th Paella Cup: a veteran hockey tournament.

This year marks the 10th edition of the Paella Cup, the annual veteran hockey tournament organized by Mister Valencia in collaboration with the Valencia CH hockey club. From June 13 to 15, hockey teams from around the world will come to sunny Valencia for this tournament, where sport and camaraderie come together perfectly.

From a small-scale tournament to a fixed highlight on the international hockey calendar.

What started as a small tournament has now grown into a highlight on the international hockey calendar. Every year, teams from countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, and many others travel to Valencia for this sporting event. But it’s not just the competition that makes the tournament special – it’s also about fun, friendship, and the Spanish sunshine!

A weekend full of hockey and Spanish culture

During the Paella Cup, you can enjoy the perfect blend of sport and culture. Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city, has it all: beautiful beaches, a mix of modern and historic architecture, fantastic restaurants, museums, and a vibrant nightlife. Plus, the lovely Mediterranean climate makes it the ideal place for both an active and relaxing weekend.

Expansion to new cities

Due to the continued success of the Paella Cup, we have been able to expand the concept to other fantastic locations. We now also organize the Espeto Cup in the southern Spanish town of Benalmádena and the Sardinha Cup in the vibrant city of Porto, Portugal. Both tournaments follow the same trusted formula: great hockey, delicious food, lots of fun, and a relaxed atmosphere.

What makes the Paella Cup so special?

The Paella Cup is known for its relaxed, informal atmosphere. It’s not about winning big prizes, but about enjoying the game, reconnecting with old friends, and experiencing Spanish hospitality.

Besides the matches, there’s plenty of time to explore the city. Whether you want to chill on one of Valencia’s beautiful beaches for a day or visit the impressive City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia has something for everyone. The local markets, tapas restaurants, and cozy terraces complete the experience.

We are really looking forward to the 10th edition of the Paella Cup!

Are you (and your team) interested in joining? Let us know! There are still a few spots available. And if Valencia doesn’t fit your schedule, we also have space at our tournament in Porto, the Sardinha Cup. Great atmosphere, another amazing city!

Mark your calendar for June 13–15, 2025 — we hope to see you there!
